Two Months Already

Kaylynn is doing great -- she is starting to play on her play mat more and more and sometimes she will play for an hour or more. She is starting to hit at her rattles and at times even grab them. She is also becoming more vocal with her cooing and talking. She is growing like a weed and out growing many of her clothes. She is doing better sleeping at night usually getting up just once around 4 or 5 am however last night was the first night that she slept til 7 am so lets hope we start a pattern. We went the doctor and she is doing great however she did get her first set of shots and that did not go well. She was pretty traumatized by the experience. Here are her new stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 12 oz (75th percentile)
Length: 23 1/4 in (75th - 90th percentile)
Wyatt is also doing great in development. He is learning new things on a daily basis and it is awesome to see. He now says uh-oh, belly button, kitty, puppy, mama, dada, yucky and wagon. But let me tell you he is all boy -- climbing on everything, scrapping up his knees, running into things and yes if there is anything out that he is not supposed to have he has this knack to beeline straight to that thing. He is a great sleeper and eater (however by his weight you would think he does not eat). He eats everything we do and loves peas, corn, meat (chicken, hamburger, brats, pork), bread and his summer favorite is watermelon. He also went to the doctor for his 15th month appointment and the doctor said he was doing well except she was a little worried about his weight. He got one shot and handled it pretty well. His new stats are:
Weight: 19 lbs 10 oz (below the 3rd percentile)
Length: 32 in (75th percentile)
Here is a video of Wyatt in his old man Cars pajamas saying uh-oh. Unfortunately, he thinks saying uh-oh when he throws things off his highchair makes everything ok.

Kaylynn was playing on her play mat and Wyatt just had to play with that toy as well. He just loves to play with all of the toys that are meant for Kaylynn.
Kaylynn enjoys her tummy time for the most part but she is more interested in licking the blanket rather than lifting and moving her head.
All I can say is that this is a picture of a cute naked baby wrapped in a pink blanket - precious!!
Wyatt has this fascination with brooms -- he always was trying to use the full sized brooms but they were too bid for him so we got him a kids set and he loves to sweep -- what a good helper.
We took Wyatt and Kaylynn to the zoo and Wyatt liked it quite a bit more than the first time he went two months ago. He liked seeing the animals and was quite a bit more engaging. Next summer it will be awesome to see how he reacts. Going to the zoo and spending time with Max and the kids during the week is a huge perk to being off of work and boy am I going to miss this in a month when I am back to work
Sleeping babies are so precious!!

Alot of our family came to visit to attend Christy's wedding shower. It was great to see my grandparents, Kayla, Isaac, Hayden and my dads family.

Between now and my last post Max and I celebrated our 7th Wedding anniversary. Time flies when you have married such a wonderful man.

  1. Great posting! Kaylynn is just adorable. What a pretty baby! Wyatt is just a character. Love your little movie of him and his uh-ohs. Looks like he's in training to help you clean the house too.
    Happy 2 month birthday Kaylynn!
    Happy 7th Anniversary you 2.
