Kaylynn was able to come home with Max and I on July 3rd. She passed all of her tests in the hospital and is a healthy baby girl. We have been home for over a week now and are adjusting to a life with two kids under 14 months. Here is a picture of her in the car seat for the first time -- you definately forget how small they start out being because she seems tiny and Wyatt was 2 lbs smaller.
On the fourth of July Max and I just stayed home with Kaylynn and attended a get together at our next door neighbors but Wyatt went to Greenfield Village with grandma and grandpa, Christy and Adam, and Chel and Brianna. He had a blast running around in the grass and listening to the music. He was not scared of the cannons that went off for the 1812 Overture however as hard as he tried he could not stay awake for the fire works.
As you can see Wyatt and Kaylynn had matching outfits and Wyatt is getting more and more curious about her.
Max enjoying some daddy time with his daughter.
Kaylynn is a very different sleeper than Wyatt was - she does not need to be swaddled and loves to sleep on her side. As you can see from the above picture she moves quite a bit and turned herself sideways in the bassinet. Needless to say we moved her to her crib after about 4 nights. She wakes up twice a night to eat so that is not too bad and Max and I are sharing the duties of getting up so we are both getting enough sleep to function during the day :)
We had spagetti and Wyatt loved it. As you can see he needed a bath right after but he had a blast eating the spagetti.
Kaylynn really did not enjoy her first bath but we are hoping in the future she loves them as much as Wyatt.
Wyatt is paying more and more attention to Kaylynn and here he is trying to pick up her blanket - unfortunately she was still laying on it.
She is so peaceful when she sleeps and she loves to have her hands by her face.
All in all we are adjusting well to having two little ones. Wyatt has started to throw a few more temper tantrums but we expected that he might act up a little with the addition of Kaylynn. Also, Wyatt got yet another ear infection, cough and was teething which does not make it easy. He has been going to school (daycare) to keep him on a routine and he is doing great at school. His teachers say he is just a sweet kid.
