Swimming and Sweets

Kaylynn got to have her first photo shoot for her 6 month pictures and some for her first Christmas. She did awesome and I think we got some super cute pictures of her. Above is a collage of a lot of the pictures. She makes so many funny faces. Today Kaylynn went to the doctor and the doctor said that she is doing great and hitting all of her milestones just perfectly. She is sitting up very well now and will sit for 10 to 15 minutes sometimes and she is starting to scoot backwards when she is up on her arms. As for eating she likes almost all the food we give her but she sometimes is just stubborn and will not open her mouth. I do find if Wyatt is around to make her laugh it is a little easier to get her to eat.   She is also becoming more aware of her surroundings and likes Max or I to be in the room with her or to have us be playing with her. She is really starting to get more of a personality :) She also got her shots today and she does not tolerate them well. She had a bit of a rough night due to that.
Here are her new stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 15 oz (75th to 90th percentile)
Height: 27.5 inches (95th percentile)
So needless to say she is growing quite well -- she has gained 2.5 lbs and 2.5 inches in the last 2 months
Wyatt is starting to pay more attention to Kaylynn and "playing" with her. He loves it when she reacts to him by laughing. He still has to learn to share with her but is getting better. It is so cute when he will walk up to her and give her a hug and a kiss. He is such a good big brother.
Kaylynn started swim lessons this past weekend and she loved it. She was smiling and splashing around.  One time she even stuck her whole face in the water and that seemed to surprise her but she did not cry. I am so glad both the kids like the water -- summers are going to be so much fun when we can take them  both swimming.
Yes Kaylynn liked to lap the water like a cat.

What fun it is to see them exploring new enviroments and enjoying themselves.
Wyatt got to help Grandma make cookies this weekend and he loved it. I am not sure if he loved eating the cookie dough or watching the mixer more but he seemed to really enjoy making cookies with Grandma.

Everytime he heard the mixer turn on he would run over and say "up up" so that he could watch what was going on in the mixer.

  1. Special time with Daddy! She sure is a doll! And special Wyatt, Mom and Grandma time. Can I have a cookie?
Hard to believe Kaylyn is over 6 months old already and Wyatt will be 2 before we know it!
